Our Purpose
The Miamisburg Starving Artists, Inc. is a nonprofit group that works to encourage the production of original works by
artists and artisans. Proceeds from our annual show provide scholarship support for Miamisburg High School
students pursuing training in art or related careers. The group also supports Miamisburg community projects of exceptional
merit.
Our History
The first show was launched in 1969 by Ed Wilson who in 1979, formed the Miamisburg Starving Artist Club in order to
stage this growing event. The first show included 26 exhibitors, selling items for $10 or less. In later years
the limit became $25 and at present the limit is $50. An average show today includes around 220 exhibitors.
