About Us

Our Purpose

The Miamisburg Starving Artists, Inc. is a nonprofit group that works to encourage the production of original works by artists and artisans.  Proceeds from our annual show provide scholarship support for Miamisburg High School students pursuing training in art or related careers.  The group also supports Miamisburg community projects of exceptional merit.

Our History

The first show was launched in 1969 by Ed Wilson who in 1979, formed the Miamisburg Starving Artist Club in order to stage this growing event.  The first show included 26 exhibitors, selling items for $10 or less.  In later years the limit became $25 and at present the limit is $50.  An average show today includes around 120 exhibitors.

Our Club

The Miamisburg Starving Artists Club has a membership of about 20 volunteers.  New members are selected from past Starving Artists Show participants having a particular interest in promoting the purposes of the club and who reside in Miamisburg and surrounding areas.  The Club meets four times a year to bring the best show possible to the southwestern Ohio area.

2010 Scholarship Recipients

The Miamisburg Starving Artists award  scholarships to Miamisburg High School graduates yearly.  Scholarship winners are chosen from students pursuing studies related to the arts.

Congratulations and best wishes to our scholarship winners!
